[Original Content - NC] Fernandez and Vrba (2005) have produced the first complete, dated, species-level supertree estimate of the phylogenetic relationships among all 197 species of extant ruminants. To do this they performed parsimony analysis of a matrix representation of 164 previously published partial tree representations. The aims of this site include collecting as many of these source trees as possible, including their undelying source character data sets, to allow reanalysis, testing and revision.
